The Process of Photosynthesis

Photosynthesis is a biological event which takes place in majority of living plants. It is simply known as the process by which living plants make food. Photosynthesis is very essential for life and there are a few basic necessities that are required for it to occur. Some such necessities are

  1. Water
  2. Carbon Dioxide
  3. Chlorophyll
  4. Sunlight
Without even one of these factors photosynthesis wouldn't take place. There are two products of photosynthesis. The main product is glucose while the by-product is oxygen. Oxygen consumed by human beings are produced using this phenomena. This is why scientists signify the importance of photosynthesis to maintain the oxygen content of the earth. It also does another great service as it removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and uses it for photosynthesizing. This reduces the carbon dioxide content in the air.

This is why destroying trees and plants in the environment has a hazardous effect on out physical well-being. We are destroying the organisms which help us. This is why replanting trees is now considered as popular method to reduce the effects of global warming.

Even though many health organizations and internal organizations are working towards maintaining the amount of plants in the environment it is still not enough. Therefore mass amount of replanting should be done to bring our environment back to condition it used to be in. This can only be effectively done with the help of all the human beings in this world.
